I Just Pretend

I've thought of you a thousand times

and loved you from afar…

So many times my heart would beg

to run to where you are…

From time to time I’d hear your voice

a phantom in my mind…

I’d  turn to see if you were there

but nothing, every time…

Sometimes at night I’d go to sleep

and see you in my dreams…

I’d try so hard to speak with you

but nothing’s as it seems…

I've never gotten over you

this sadness, my best friend…

I try to make the best of things

I really... just pretend…
