Friends

I've come so far from where I was

a stranger to my past…

I've spent a lifetime chasing dreams

the years went by so fast…

I think of those I left behind

and where they might be now…

The memories of our glory days

live on with me somehow…

Oh what I’d give to see their face

and be with them once more…

To laugh and talk about our lives

just like we did before…

Some day I’ll come back home again

a slow and peaceful ride…

To be once more among my friends

and lay down by their side…
