Sometimes life can be so hard

yes disappointments come…

Heartache touches everyone

some things you can’t outrun

Sometimes dreams are pushed aside

when life gets in the way…

Things you thought would never come

arrive and plan to stay

Sometimes hope is hard to find

when so much has been lost…

Courage sometimes slips away

when looking at the cost

Sometimes every now and then

I rise above my fears

I climb up to the mountain top

and there I shed my tears
